9 down, 8 to go!

9 weeks of training are now behind me with 8 more to go!  

The self doubt is starting to set in.  Can I actually DO this?  Will, A. my body be tight/toned/cellulite free and stage ready and B. will I be able to walk out on that stage with poise, confidence, and a winning smile all without tripping on my stripper-esque heels and landing flat on my highly made up face?!

I look at this video of Amanda Latona #9 on stage during pre-judging and I can't take my eyes off of her.  She's absolutely CAPTIVATING.  She exudes confidence and completely OWNS the stage with her presence.  I can only hope to have at least 1/millionth of her confidence and SWAG!!!  Start the video at 43 seconds to see the Bikini girls. Click here

Hot Dogs & Burgers & Cup Cakes, OH MY!

Went to my BFF's daughter's 1st bday party today.  It was a POOL party so I had to don a bikini most of the time. Not usually a comfortable thing for me but, with all this training, dieting, and the changes I've been noticing as of late, I didn't feel as antsy about it. 


The real challenge came about when the FOOD came out!  Hot dogs (no biggie, those are gross), cheese burgers (love them), cup cakes with yummy icing (i love sweets), and chocolate covered pretzles (one of my favorites).  I really would have loved some but, the desire to eat those foods was not as STRONG as my desire to be the best me I can be on competition day!  I want to be FIERCE and FIT and eating cup cakes will not get me there.  I will just live vicariously through my daughter, Ava!

And this was my face when it was my turn to eat my chicken, onions, and asparagus.   *SIGH*

LOL, glad I have a strong will to succeed!

Heroes vs. Villains











Another fun game night....this time it was a mixed scrimmage where we took girls from all over S. and N. Florida teams and mixed them together to make 2 amazing teams and we went at it, GOOD VS. EVIL!!!  I, of course, eneded up on the Villains team, muahahahaaaaaaaaa!  The DARK SIDE PREVAILED with a WIN of 268-123!!!! This was my outfit for the massacre.

Decision made!

The Fit & Psyched trainers agreed that I should do Bikini for my first competition.  I'm kinda relieved about it.  I was definitely worrying that my legs weren't up to par for Figure yet.  Plus, the bikinis and posing style are MUCH cuter and more girlie in Bikini than in Figure.  Definitely more ME!!!  Per Amy, we will just dial down my upper body work outs a little and concentrate on building my legs.  Maybe for show 2 or 3 I'll be ready for Figure, but until then I'm HAPPY!
Oh, and we did my body fat today via calipers....15%!  Awesome, I've always measured in the 20's on my scale and hand held monitor.

When did this happen?

It's the end of week six, start of week 7 and I'm seeing muscles poppin thru! Although they are changing and looking better, I really need my legs to catch up.  10 more weeks til show time baby.  We're not sure if we are entering me in the Bikini or Figure level.  I honestly thought I'd just start at the bottom and work up, never even occurred to me that I might be able to do Figure.  I think my legs are too small and need more work.  Amy tells me not to worry so, I won't...for now.  Let's do this!!

                  


OH! I've come up with a great protein shake concoction made with the MuscleEgg I just bought.

 1/2c unsweetened almond milk (regular or vanilla flavored)
 .625c (lil more than 1/2c to = 6 egg whites) MuscleEgg Chocolate/Caramel flavored egg whites
 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
 a few tiny drops of vanilla and coconut extract
 Shake it like a salt shaka...and DRAAAAAAAAAANK!!!!! It is soooo yummy.
