It's SHOW TIME!!!!!!

We got up at 6:15am and started on hair/makeup and breakfast.  I did my own hair/makeup/nails to save on costs.  I think it all came out looking pretty darned good. 

Top placement or not, I'M PROUD and humbled! Thank you to my supporters out there today!

My niece Alli also entered the show with me!

 

I did a play by play on FB, there is no better way to describe it than to post my feelings as the day progressed...so here goes.!

After morning show I posted:
"I'm overwhelmed by the show of support this morning! The cup in my heart runneth over."  (I had at least 20 supporters in the audience, it was such a great feeling to be supported by such great people).

Also posted this: "What an amazing day and first competition! I had so much fun and learned so much. Although I didn't place in the top 3, I got 8th out of 12, I overcame my fear of being in front of people in a bikini and walked out LIKE A BOSS at the age of 39 with a 2 yr old kid, in the best shape of my life! My gorgeous niece Alli placed 2nd in her class! I'm soooo FREAKIN proud of her, words cannot express how overjoyed I am for her!
The judges said I was too lean and cut for bikini and that I woulda rocked the Figure level. So come Monday, BLING is in Beast Mode for the next one. Watch out world!"

Almost the entire front two rows were for me!

Part of my Derby team came to cheer me on, even on a game day!  Gotta love them.

My sisters were there from start to finish!

Of course my biggest fan/supporter and the love of my life was there, front and center!

 I hit the stage and felt amazing!!

 (it was REALLY hard to hold my smile for so long, have to work on that).

 

 

 

We headed back home for the intermission between shows.  Had to pick up our daughter from one sitter and bring her to another for the night show.  Also had to eat and prepare meals for the rest of the day!

The night show was much more relaxed and exciting!

OM NOM NOM, get in mahhhh bellllllaaaaay!!!!

We left the show ready for the Food Fest!!!!  Which consisted of 4 of my 3 layer cookies (bottom layer chocolate chip, middle oreo or a reese's peanut butter cup, top layer brownie) and also had a slice of cake (vanilla and chocolate cake with layers of strawberries and butter cream).  Then drove the 40 minutes home and to GREASE BURGER for a Ron Burgundy Burger with OMG Cheese fries!!!  It was HEAVENLY.....

I slept like a baby Saturday night!!!!  Only to get up Sunday to continue my Foodapaloosa!!!!!!  Had breakkie with friends at a place called John G's that is famous for it's breakfast.  (I had never been)  Got there and couldn't choose between 3 different French Toast choices, so I got them ALL!!!!!  And ate them all :)

I followed up the brekkie with a small bag of chocolate covered pretzels in the afternoon and went to Mellow Mushroom with more friends for some derrrishous pizza, I had my own pizza to myself!  Followed up by dessert with my daughter at Sloan's Ice Cream Shop.  A brownie sundae with 3 scoops of ice cream!!!!  MMMMMMMMM, so good.

 

It was such an amazing experience and even better Food Fest!!!  Can't wait to do it all over again!
